Wakefield-based building services supplier Deborah Services has agreed a £1M, five-year contract with forklift manufacturer Daewoo. The deal sees 50 new Daewoo forklifts being delivered to DSL premises nationwide, from Truro in the South to Invergordon in northern Scotland.
DSL transport manager Steve Haigh, who oversaw the contract, believes it leaves DSL in a stronger position to provide its scaffolding, multi-discipline contracting, asbestos removal and other specialist services. Haigh says: “The Daewoo trucks are well put together, are not pretentious or fancy and that suits the way we work. Transport is our biggest cost after labour. You cannot under-estimate the importance of keeping transport costs under control.”
Deborah Services is a UK-wide supplier of scaffolding services, multi-discipline contracting, the hire and sale of access equipment plus specialist skills, such as asbestos removal.
DSL is one of the first customers to sign up to a direct nationwide deal with Daewoo.
