A recently introduced 40% reduction in the charge that lorries will pay for using the M6 Toll road should attract more distribution companies to the West Midlands, says Evans Property Group. From now until at least the end of the year, haulage and distribution companies can take advantage of a reduction in both the daytime and night time toll rates.
It will now cost £6 between 6am to 11pm and £5 from 11pm to 6am, which is down from £10 when the motorway first opened in December last year.
David Helliwell, estates director for Evans Property Group, says: “The opening of the M6 Toll road has led to an increased demand for warehousing and distribution accommodation at Fradley Park on the A38. Reductions in toll charges for long and heavy vehicles on this stretch of motorway can only spell good news for commercial developments like ours at Fradley Park, which is situated close to junctions T4 and T5 of the M6 Toll.”
