Every four years we go into the World Cup with high hopes for our teams, but the performance of the English, French, German and Italian teams over the weekend seems to have left most of Europe in a state of depression.
Of course, part of the problem for the supporters is that they can do little or nothing to improve the performance of their teams.
So, perhaps we should turn to an event where your hard work can have a direct effect on the results – the European Supply Chain Excellence Awards.
More companies than ever have indicated that they plan to enter the Awards, but there are only a few days left to get entries in. Friday 2nd July is the deadline for entries.
The Awards, organised by Supply Chain Standard in partnership with consultancy PRTM, are the gold standard for supply chain operations in Europe, attracting entries from the world’s leading manufacturers, retailers and supply chain specialists. They attracted a record number of entries in 2009. What makes them unique is a stringent judging process which focuses on performance against five core disciplines of supply chain. The Awards are presented at a glittering dinner at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel before an audience of more than 450 industry leaders. This year the dinner will take place on Thursday 18th November.
