ORGANISING a second Logistics Link exhibition, albeit one some 200 miles away from Sandown Park, always ran the risk of duplicating the visitor profile. However, as planned, this was avoided because whereas 62% of attendees at Logistics Link at Sandown Park in February 2004 came from London and the South-east, the reverse was the case at Logistics Link North held on the 22/23 September 2004 at Doncaster Racecourse where 75% of attendees came from the Midlands and the North.
But, of utmost importance, this audience brought a new dimension to the visitor profile for Logistics Link exhibitions as it included representatives (see previous page) from the major industrial and manufacturing industries located in those areas.
Attendance for the two-day Logistics Link North exhibition was 1,635 of which 20% were chairmen and directors of leading companies from an extremely diverse range of industrial, commercial, manufacturing and service industries. Managers accounted for a further 57% with the balance attending from a multitude of job titles including supervisors, engineers, consultants and partners.
Most importantly, 32% of attendees worked in organisations employing more than 400 people while 28% worked in organisations with a turnover in excess of £50 million. Transport/distribution18%
