Baxter Healthcare has put its nationwide distribution in the hands of third-party company NYK Logistics. The deal involves re-engineering Baxter’s supply chain, bringing its home delivery and health care provide supply operations together under one roof for the first time.
A leading manufacturer and supplier of products used in hospitals and other healthcare settings, Baxter delivers a wide range of health care therapies and services for the treatment of complex medical conditions such as cancer, haemophilia, immune disorders and kidney disease.
NYK Logistics and Baxter’s key objective is to deliver a first class patient and customer focused service from despatch through to the end user, while building upon the synergies of both companies to achieve the highest standards of customer service in an environment where patient care and empathy are paramount.
The service will continue to operate from Baxter’s national distribution centre at Northampton, with five strategic platforms to enable nationwide coverage.
