Industrial products distributor Cromwell Group (Holdings) is using the Spatial Group to undertake a full export shipping department function, encompassing all aspects of international trade, including export documentation and documents required for payment.
Cromwell is one of the largest independent industrial suppliers in the UK, and a major distributor worldwide. An extensive product range includes all engineering equipment including heavy-duty machinery, manual and power tools, janitorial products, safety wear, workshop supplies and stationery.
The Leicester-based company has 45 sites in the UK, and a network covering China, Malaysia, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Eastern Europe and shortly India.
The Spatial Group has been appointed to manage a complete export shipping operation for Cromwell including the handling of all the export documents required to get goods moving, as well as raising and presenting documents required to make sure the goods are paid for.
Spatial is moving up to 150,000 different line items on behalf of Cromwell’s International Projects division. Heavy-duty machinery and workshop equipment is procured and imported for turnkey projects worldwide, in particular East, Central Africa and Northern Africa.
