Food brands supplier Kerry Foods is continuing to use JDF Logistics having renewed its contract with the 3PL for a further five years. Kerry Foods, which supplies brands such as Homepride flour and Green’s cake mix, uses JDF to look after its national stockholding and distribution at the logistics company’s hub at Barnsley.
JDF, using its 60-strong fleet, provides daily deliveries to retailers and wholesalers throughout the UK and Ireland with a throughput of 40,000 pallets annually.
Kerry Foods selected JDF because of its record of more than “99.8% delivery accuracy” and accurate stock information, including several key performance indicators using its state-of-the-art warehouse management information system. Barcoding all products helps reduce error rate and improves accuracy as well as speed of picking. JDF also provides Kerry Foods with complete age integrity and audit trails of all stock.
