When Center Parcs wanted to bring excellent customer service to the doorsteps of thousands of holidaymakers at its Elveden Forest village, it approached materials handling specialist Allibert Buckhorn. Situated near Brandon, Suffolk, Elveden Forest is one of four holiday villages that Center Parcs operates in the UK. Set in 400 acres of woodland, the holiday village comprises 822 villas, lodges and apartments, and has over 300,000-plus visitors a year.
Center Parcs approached Allibert Buckhorn when it wanted plastic containers which could be used as its grocery delivery packs – specially prepared packs containing the groceries ordered by visitors and which are delivered to their accommodation when they arrive.
The packs needed to be easy-to-handle and sufficiently robust to protect groceries from the weather. The containers also had to be branded with the Center Parcs logo and available in a variety of colours – blue, grey with a yellow lid and green – to enable the company to Electronics
