Nissan Forklift has introduced a special forklift truck which provides far better forward visibility for operators with tall loads. The Hi-Rise Panoramic is a raised level, engine-powered counterbalanced truck available with lift capacities of 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 tonnes.
The machine is based on Nissan’s D-Series model, and is suitable for tasks such as handling raw materials in large bags, vertical transfer of tall gas cylinders and in brewing and bottling operations where tall loads are palletised.
Raising the height of the operator’s platform by about 250mm above equivalent models, Nissan has increased the Hi-Rise’s potential for both safety and productivity. In a typical work cycle, the improved forward visibility has reduced the need for the truck to travel in reverse by more than 10%. Also, the forward visibility has been further enhanced through the introduction of a special new mast where cross-members have been raised to remove them completely from the operator’s line of sight.
Standard engines for the Hi-Rise are Nissan’s ultra-clean, lean burn diesel or, for lpg, the Nissan Tri-Cat System.
