UK interior solutions provider Havelock Europa is using Bibby Distribution to handle its logistics needs as part of a three-year contract. The contract sees the logistics specialist delivering retail equipment and hotel, financial and healthcare furniture to the majority of towns and cities throughout the UK.
The operation also involves trunking to and from Bibby’s Kingswinford site in Birmingham and Havelock’s production facilities in Dalgety Bay, Fife.
Paul Doleman, operations director at Havelock Europa, states: “We see this move as the beginning of a long-term relationship aimed at improving service and offering best value. Rather than the traditional transactional relationship we are looking forward to developing a mutually beneficial relationship with Bibby Distribution in the years to come.”
lBibby Distribution has won a new contract with Elsevier, one of the largest publishing and media groups in the world. Under the deal, Bibby is providing a next-day service, collecting pallets daily via its Heywood depot with deliveries primarily targeted for the South and for onward despatch to universities and hospitals worldwide.
