Chilled food and drink supply chain specialist Culina Logistics has secured a contract to store and distribute luxury desserts on behalf of Andros UK. Based in St Ives Cambridgeshire, Andros UK is part of the multinational Andros Group which manufactures the Bonne Maman products.
Culina is providing a nationwide shared-user, 24-hour service with product stored at its modern Milton Keynes distribution centre. The contract occupies 400 stock holding pallets in the 10,509sq m temperature-controlled facility.
On a weekly basis Culina makes 180-plus deliveries on behalf of Andros to 26 major supermarket regional distribution centres nationwide. Orders are received by EDI then picked and despatched within 24 hours for just-in-time delivery. Hand-held radio data transfer scanners ensure pick accuracy and orders can be tracked via Culina’s secure customer website.
