P&O Ferrymasters has commenced a major global freight management agreement with world leading wiper blade manufacturer, Trico. With major facilities in the UK, Australia, South and North America as well as active expansion in the Asian market the new import and export deal sees P&O Ferrymasters transporting up to 400 consignments a month for Trico to and from destinations worldwide.
Via a combination of deep sea, air freight and road transport movements, P&O Ferrymasters is providing a full-managed contract – from collecting parts such as wiper blades, arms, linkages, motors and electronics for assembly to transporting complete wiper systems to vehicle manufacturing plants.
Trico cites ownership and flexibility as two key reasons for choosing to work in partnership with P&O Ferrymasters. “With such an all-encompassing transportation requirement, we were keen for one provider to own the whole process at all times, day and night,” says Jim Taylor at Trico.
