Shell contractors Hoyer UK and JW Suckling Transport have taken delivery of more than 70 new Heil articulated trailers for use on the oil company’s contract. Manufactured to ADR specifications, the equipment includes a mix of triaxle petroleum tankers with up to 42,000-litre capacity, tandem-axle units with 28,000- and 31,000-litre capacities, and black oil and aviation tanks.
Hoyer, with the lion’s share of the Shell work, has taken 55 new trailers for use on retail, commercial and aviation deliveries along the North-west / South-east corridor. Suckling has 17 new trailers to cover Shell’s retail, commercial, marine and aviation deliveries in parts of Scotland and the South-west.
Commenting on the new trailers, Hoyer contracts manager Steve Anderson says: “When we needed to upgrade our fleet to satisfy the needs of our latest contract with Shell, it was natural to turn to Heil once more.”
