The low cost system locates any GSM mobile phone and displays the location on a secure website, and can also be used to communicate through test messaging.
The expanded service means managers can track their mobile workforce and regularly monitor their progress even when they are not logged onto FleetOnline.net online service. Users can choose which phones to track regularly, and set the frequency.
FleetOnline.net says that many users, particularly transport and service customers, would like to see a trace of where their mobile workforce is by locating them regularly throughout the day rather than logging on. It says that managers will be able to spot problems without having to phone drivers or have them fill out reports.
