National refrigeration and air-conditioning wholesaler Dean & Wood has been supplied with three OM Pimespo reach trucks and a four-directional narrow aisle truck, supplied by Forktruck Solutions, to meet requirements at its 50,000sq m national distribution centre in Morley, Leeds.
Mick Leeming, warehouse manager at Dean & Wood, explains: “We looked for a truck that could lower the tips of its forks as close to the ground as possible for handling our products. OM Pimespo’s reach trucks performed well in our extensive trials, while also giving us the benefits of high residual capacity to move 1,400kg at heights of up to 7m.”
Additionally, Dean & Wood selected the OM Pimespo 4D25 Four Directional Reachtruck with a hydraulic fork positioner and 6,955mm Triplex mast, providing a capacity of 1,600kg at 600mm. Leeming says: “The machine handles precisely and safely within our racking, whilst answering our requirements for moving everything from small pallets to 6m lengths of copper tubing – used in the installation of our refrigeration and air conditioning systems.”
