n Solus Garden & Leisure is using pushback racking from Linpac Storage Systems to maximise the storage in its 930sq m warehouse in Hunnington, Halesowen. Due to steady growth in Solus’ business more storage was needed for the company’s range of Scotts fertilizers and garden products which were all originally stored on standard pallet racking.
n Group operations manager Steve Francis decided to re-rack half of the warehouse with pushback racking to cater for the extra product. Francis explains: “Space for storage in our warehouses is at a premium, and we decided that pushback racking was the ideal option to maximise the available area. We chose Linpac’s product as we believe it’s the best value for money.”
n He continues: “The three- and four-deep racking provides the extra storage that we require and loads are easily accessed by small reach trucks. We’ve also used Linpac racking in some of our other distribution centres. It is extremely useful that it’s interchangeable: as the business grows and changes we can, if necessary, move the racking around.”
