Landsdon, an independent distributor of floor-covering products, has signed a six-year contract with Lex Transfleet to supply a range of vehicles as the backbone of its delivery fleet. A total of 13 DAF vehicles, including 7.5 tonne and 12 tonne trucks, have been supplied under a full maintenance contract in partnership with Lex Commercials in Halesowen. The contract covers all maintenance and repair of the vehicles as well as driver training for Landsdon Limited’s own employees.
Working primarily in the Midlands, Landsdon delivers daily to a range of flooring contractors who often take delivery on-site as well as retail shop locations, and relies on its fleet of vehicles to keep the delivery process running smoothly.
Steve Yates, operations director at Landsdon, comments: “Lex Transfleet and Lex Commercials met our requirements for a high degree of flexibility and a 24-hour service that fitted well with our operation. A must when working in a partnership such as this to guarantee that our high service level to customers is maintained. Lex Transfleet’s ability to offer a full service package helps us to achieve that aim.”
