Sainsbury’s has picked Solstar UK to handle the transport operation for its major supplier of apples from the Loire
and southern region of France. This additional service increases Solstar’s activities with Sainsbury’s and its suppliers on direct and non-direct deliveries.
Solstar already manage the transport of the bulk of Sainsbury’s citrus and salads from Spain and stone and top fruit from Italy, as well as considerable volumes of fruit and produce for other UK retailers/suppliers. The produce industry has been a significant area of activity for Solstar for more than 18 years and, in conjunction with offices in Spain and Italy, it offers the essential experience and local knowledge for the safe movement of sensitive produce.
