Sainsbury’s has awarded an extension to the home delivery contract it has with logistics provider Ryder. As part of the latest deal, Ryder continues to provide the supermarket chain with dedicated vehicles and drivers to deliver a range of groceries and fresh produce ordered through the Sainsbury’s to You (StY) service via the Internet.
Ryder currently manages home deliveries for 43 Sainsbury’s stores across the Midlands, South and South-east. More than 240 vehicles, 340 Home Delivery Agents (HDAs) and 35 administrative / managerial staff serve the contract.
