Banbury-based bakery products supplier Fine Lady Bakeries (FLB) is reporting major efficiency gains a year after it began using Paragon’s routeing and scheduling software. The company started using the software to review fixed routes across its 35-vehicle operation having identified the need to switch from a manual system to an automated one as the fleet was making up to 60 trips a day.
A year on and FLB says efficiency gains have resulted from improved vehicle use, enhanced route planning, better time window control and more efficient use of driver hours through multi-tripping.
The company uses the system monthly to re-route seven single day schedules. The software can also accommodate changes such as additional customer wins and variations in order volumes.
