Wiltshire-based Rygor Group Services (RGS) is achieving monthly fuel efficiency improvements of up to 8% on some vehicles having implemented BP’s Fleet Performance Management (FPM) solution.
RGS, which offers a range of services including contract distribution and warehousing, started using the FPM as part of a contract which began last year and says there is more than a 4% improvement on average across the board.
FPM has been developed to combat the rising economic and environmental pressures faced by fleet operators within the supply chain sector. It offers a range of benefits including reduced operating costs, lower emissions and budget certainty.
Commenting on the FPM solution, RGS director Clive Squire says: “We are delighted with the progress we have made to date. It is of note that the benefits are not just financial – FPM has also provided enhanced management information on which we can make better business decisions.”
RGS is also using BP’s operational consultancy service, part of the FPM offer, which analyses individual vehicle and driver efficiency to detect where under-performance is occurring within a fleet. The service highlights the best and worst vehicles and drivers as well as identifies focus areas for improving performance.
