Northern Ireland Spar wholesaler John Henderson is operating a “powerful retail solution” at its forecourt convenience stores. The company owns the franchise for Spar, Vivo and VG in the province, and provides a full service to nearly 300 Spar and 170 Vivo/VG stores. The solution combines BCP’s retail Back Office system with HTEC’s dedicated Hydrapos Point of Sale fuel model, giving forecourt retailers a single solution to effectively manage all aspects of their business. The solution covers automated replenishment, pricing and margin control, cash control, ordering, shelf edge label production, electronic auditing, sales and performance reporting.
Third-party logistics provider TDG has awarded a £1M contract to ITNET to provide it with server hosting and network management services over the next five years. The deal will enable TDG to further reduce its current IT management costs while maintaining first class support for its systems. ITNET, which specialises in IT, business consulting and process outsourcing, takes responsibility for the 20 mission critical Unix Servers that TDG uses to like its depots, and two AS400 servers. The servers will be relocated from Harlow to ITNET’s data centre in Birmingham and will go live this month.
