So Good International (SGI), which produces a soya based, dairy-free alternative to milk has awarded a new rolling contract to Culina Logistics. As part of the contract, Culina is providing SGI with a nationwide shared-user, 24-hour service with product stored at its £15M, 10,509sq m Milton Keynes distribution centre, which comprises 14 loading docks and the latest warehouse management systems linked to handheld RDT scanners.
Temperature-controlled distribution specialist Culina is making more than 500 deliveries a week for SGI, distributing 12,000 cases of products to regional distribution centres of supermarket chains such as Asda, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose. Orders are received mainly via electronic data interchange (EDI).
Commenting on the new contract, SGI managing director Allan Staples says: “We were looking for a high quality shared-user solution to our UK distribution needs and that is exactly what Culina is providing. They can also accommodate the expected growth in our volumes.
