TNT Express Services has won a multimillion pound contract with the National Health Service Purchasing and Supply Authority (PaSA). In an industry where speed and reliability can make the difference between life and death, NHS (PaSA) has again demonstrated its confidence in TNT Express Services by renewing a prestigious three-year contract to deliver vital medical equipment and other essential items to hundreds of UK hospitals. The agreement includes the option of extending the contract by a further two years.
Divisional sales director for TNT Express Services, Les Williams, says: “Organisations such as NHS PaSA that are involved in the distribution of medical supplies need speed, reliability, flexibility and responsiveness. Their needs coincide with our greatest strengths. That’s why TNT and NHS PaSA is such a perfect fit.”
The contract encompasses a wide range of items, form important payroll information and patient records to life-saving medical equipment and vital surgical goods – in short, everything need to keep Britain’s medical establishments running.
Last Year, TNT Express delivered more than 86,000 items the NHS uses a full range of TNT delivery options, with a significant number of items required within hours of ordering or before 9am the following day.
