Yantra Corporation, the synchronised fulfilment management software solutions specialist, has supplied Royal Mail with its Yantra 5x software applications to improve the operating efficiency of its internal distribution operations. Royal Mail is implementing the Distributed Order Management, Product Management and Supply Chain Event Management components of the Yantra 5x product suite to streamline distribution of consumables, spare parts and other products to all its sites and 16,500 Post Office branches. Fulfilment of similar products to Royal Mail customers will also be hosted on the system. Royal Mail’s expects to realise cost savings to the business in the initial phase of circa £1M per year.
