Distribution property specialist sbh.uk is project managing a new 23,900sq m distribution centre on Green Property’s Electric Park scheme at Manchester’s Trafford Park for cosmetics group L’Oréal. sbk.uk bought the 6.40 hectare site for Topland, which is funding the project, and says completion is scheduled for August 2004.
The centre will handle stock for L’Oréal’s Consumer Products division, which includes brands such as Garnier, L’Oréal Paris and Maybelline.
Topland has signed L’Oréal on a pre-let basis and acquired an adjoining site of nearly 16 acres from Green Property. The development will comprise two buildings in a campus setting with scope for further expansion of the main warehouse.
L’Oréal is to use the site as one of its regional distribution facilities.
