TNT Container Logistics now has available for hire Europe’s first folding plastic intermediate bulk container (IBC). Called Pallecon Ultra, the 1,000-litre container has a smooth plastic construction which, says TNT, brings new levels of hygiene and security to the food and healthcare industry.
The container complies with EC and FDA hygiene legislation as its polypropylene composition makes it easy to clean and eliminates the threat of corrosion. As a fully folding unit, the 88kg container is easy to operate and can be erected or folded in less than a minute by one person.
Folded, empty units can be stacked for transport and storage to save space – up to five folded units can be stored in one pallet space. Full containers can be stacked five units high, maximising warehouse space.
