Retailer New Look has selected DTS Logistics to provide a dedicated delivery service to its Scottish stores. Pre-retail and garment logistics company DTS is operating high volume, flexible double-manned demountable vehicles from Cumbernauld for overnight deliveries to all New Look stores through Scotland, enabling new stock to be in store as the doors open the next day.
Hanging garments are initially transported from New Look’s head office in Weymouth to its regional distribution centre (RDC) in Doncaster, consolidated with the boxed merchandise and held there in preparation for collection by DTS. The garments are then collected and delivered to the Cumbernauld facility ready for despatch in the evening.
The return journey involves empty boxes being returned to the Doncaster RDC, where new stock is loaded into the empty demountable boxes.
