Healthcare products manufacturer SSL is using European logistics firm Christian Salvesen to handle its inbound and outbound distribution in the UK as part of a £5M contract. The two companies have worked together for the past eight years.
This latest contract, which began last month, involves Salvesen transporting products from SSL’s warehouses at Heywood and Middleton, Manchester, to distributors, wholesalers and supermarkets nationwide. Salvesen is also managing inbound material flows from SSL’s factories in Derby, Peterlee and Redruth.
Brian Gaunt, SSL’s director of European logistics, comments: “Across the group, Christian Salvesen is working to design high-value supply chain solutions for our customers, and to grow and evolve the supply chain with them.”
SSL’s product brands include Scholl, Durex, Resolve and Remegel.
