Brighthouse, a fast growing chain of high street stores offering a wide range of home entertainment products, domestic appliances and furniture, has awarded Exel a further, three year transport contract, worth a total of £6M.
The partnership between the two companies dates back over seven years to when Brighthouse opened its first store, since which time the logistics operation has grown substantially as Brighthouse has become a nationwide retailer with some 120 stores.
The contract is managed from Exel’s multi-user site at Barton Dock, Manchester where the full range of Brighthouse goods is stored before onwards transportation by Exel to eight Brighthouse hubs. Goods are then delivered to customers throughout the UK.
