A 12.4 acre plot at Tewkesbury Business Park has been secured by St Modwen Developments in partnership with Stoford Developments. A large manufacturing and distribution centre is planned for the site.
St Modwen will develop the 25,110sq m manufacturing, distribution and head office complex which is expected to be completed for May 2004. It is the latest of a number of large distribution centre deals with St Modwen has concluded in the past 12 months including Screwfix Direct (30,000sq m) at Stoke-on-Trent and Argos (59,380sq m) at Burton-upon-Trent.
Rupert Joseland, of St Modwen, says: “This acquisition provides a prominent position for one of our existing customers who had a requirement for a new head office and manufacturing complex with good motorway access. We have an agreement with our client to provide a phased completion with the offices scheduled for availability in Spring next year. The site will be fully operational by the end of next year.”
