English, Welsh and Scottish Railway (EWS) has introduced a new rail feeder service to link the Port of Tyne into its current Intermodal Express service running between Tees Dock and Mossend in central Scotland.
Connecting the service from the Port of Tyne, means EWS can offer customers from the Port a rail service with links for additional Scottish destinations covering Aberdeen, Grangemouth and Inverness. Customers also benefit from guaranteed next-day delivery early in the morning.
Intermodal Express was set up by EWS less than a year ago to the logistics requirements of major shipping lines.
