Materials handling equipment manufacturer Crown says its new WE 2300 Series of 24-volt pedestrian stackers has been designed for working in manufacturing, distribution and retail areas where trucks are required to offer a high degree of stability combined with long-term durability.
A key strength of the WE 2300, which features Crown’s X10 handle for simplified handling and control, is the stability when stacking at height. This has been achieved through a four-point wheel configuration with a wide stability quadrant combined with a low centre of gravity. Also, the heavy-duty mast has rail sections to decrease deflection in all directions.
A low profile power unit, clear view mast design with nested rails, unobtrusive positioning of hydraulic hoses and a Plexiglas mast guard allow the operator to easily see and position pallet loads efficiently. Also, the centre-mounted tiller enables the operator to be positioned directly behind the clear mast for optimal visibility in all directions.
The low power unit height of just 750mm means that the operator has increased fork tip visibility which means time is not wasted on pallet entry or placing pallets at height.
The truck’s compact and contoured design provides precise manoeuvrability – the WE 1600kg stacker with high-powered battery offers the shortest turning radius and lowest profile power unit of any truck in its class, claims Crown. Overall control is further enhanced with the brake override feature which allows the truck to be manoeuvred in confined spaces while the handle remains within the profile of the power unit.
All the truck components are protected by a one-piece steel door which is easily removed for service access. Also, the advanced X10 handle incorporates the use of individual circuit board technology, rather than a more expensive multi-function circuit board, which simplifies repair work and reduces costs.
