Tibbett & Britten (T&B) has won a multimillion, three-year contract to provide warehousing, distribution and pre-retailing services in the UK for menswear label producer Ben Sherman. The contract follows a one year trial and means T&B replaces several third-party carriers, each of which were responsible for a particular market segment such as home shopping, mass retailers and independent high street stores.
The Ben Sherman contract is being operated from within T&B’s existing 9,200sq m warehouse at Radlett, Hertfordshire, which is capable of storing up to one million garments for the manufacturer and despatch volumes up to six million items a year. T&B is also responsible for the storage, picking, processing and nationwide distribution of Ben Sherman’s complete range of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing nationwide, delivering to retail outlets and mail order houses throughout the country using a mix of in-house and external transport resources. As Ben Sherman’s customers each have different requirements for product presentation, T&B is providing a wide range of tailored pre-retailing services, including garment processing and pressing; kimball tagging; labelling; bagging; and co-packing. It is also picking Ben Sherman’s shipping orders destined for overseas markets, including mainland Europe.
- Tibbett & Britten Benelux, part of Tibbett & Britten Group, has signed a five-year, multimillion Euro contract to provide central warehousing and pan-European distribution services for Capezio®/Ballet Makers subsidiary Ballet Makers Europe. US-based Capezio specialises in ballet and dance apparel.
