Scottish & Newcastle (S&N) has signed a £6M deal with the Burford Group for a 7,355sq m distribution unit at Cabot Park, Bristol. The facility will be the brewer’s new distribution centre and trading office for the region.
Detailed planning consent for the site has been obtained and the facility should be completed by summer 2004. S&N has taken a 15-year lease at a rent of £480,000 a year without breaks and is relocating from its existing site within Avonmouth.
Mike Forster, director of Cabot Park owner Burford Group, says: “I am delighted that Scottish & Newcastle have decided to relocate to Cabot Park, and they have been outstanding to do business with. They are a highly respected blue chip company and it will provide a tremendous boost for Cabot Park.”
He continues: “This deal, once again, proves that our facilities, strategic location and excellent motorway access puts Cabot Park in a class of its own.”
Burford was represented by Jones Lang LaSalle and GVA Grimley while CBRE looked after S&N.
Cabot Park is the South-west’s multimodal distribution park.
