3PL Simon Hegele Logistics has doubled its warehouse space with a move to a new facility at Diageo Pension s Trust’s 310,000ft2 Didcot Quarter scheme in South Oxfordshire.
The company has taken a 10-year lease on DQ120, a 121,464ft2 facility – the smaller of two speculative buildings on the development. The property is expected to be fully operational by early 2022.
“We have enjoyed significant growth which has given us the confidence to expand our operations,” said Conor McClure, Managing Director of Simon Hegele. “Didcot Quarter is a fantastic location for our business and provides us with the space to expand in order to realise our full potential.”
The development has BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and EPC A ratings and incorporate the principles of the WELL Building standard. Other sustainability credentials include a rainwater harvesting system, 10% solar panel coverage on the roofs and fresh air ventilation with high levels of heat recovery and filtration to reduce energy consumption.
