In line with Kuehne + Nagel’s (K+N) strategy to expand European overland activities, a new consolidation hub has begun operation in Ashby de la Zouch. The hub specifically deals with groupage consignments of up to 2,000kg, which are fed in on a daily basis from the company’s 18 locations across the UK and Ireland.
Jim Hedderwick, Director Overland and Distribution, says: “With the Birmingham hub successfully set up and running our Kuehne + Nagel European locations are now better equipped for an increase in services, based on round trips that are currently operating through this facility.”
