Salmon Developments and NFU Mutual joint venture Salmon Harvester has sold the third and final unit at Freeway Park, Normanton, West Yorkshire, paving the way for a second phase of 11,890sq m. The third 32,810sq m warehouse has been sold to pharmaceutical company Tissue Science Laboratories for £55 per sq ft.
Salmon Harvester now plans to develop the second phase of warehouse/distribution space speculatively but will also speak to owner-occupiers about their requirements. The developer is prepared to build a single unit of 11,890sq m if required.
Rob Neaverson, of Salmon Harvester, says: “We are seeing good demand in this area for large warehouse units of 120,000 sq ft as well as those of around 50,000 sq ft. Demand is primarily for distribution facilities given the proximity of Wakefield Europort which has triggered a lot of extra demand over the past ten years.”
