Exel has won a four-year contract with Morgan, the manufacturer and distributor of women’s clothing.
Exel will manage the transport of Morgan’s raw materials and finished products as well as the distribution and management of returns. Morgan’s business has grown, winning more customers each year. As a result, its existing warehouse in La Courneuve had become too cramped to deal with the volumes that Morgan was handling. The company needed to find more warehouse space and a logistics provider so that it could focus on its core business. Exel will handle over 13M items for 550 Morgan retail outlets and wholesalers in France and abroad from its 21,700 sq m site in Cambrai. The company will manage and prepare orders for raw materials, such as fabrics and finished products and accessories including jewellery, perfume and leather goods. The company will also dispatch the goods to the 220 Morgan shops in France and 330 outlets across Europe including; Spain, Portugal, Holland, Switzerland, Sweden and Norway. Exel will also manage goods from Morgan’s wholesalers in the United Kingdom as well as Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan and Canada.
