Pennine Parcels, has beaten off rival transport and logistics firms from around the UK, to win the highly acclaimed 2005 Palletline Depot of the Year Award.
Palletline is the country’s longest established pallet distribution network, with the exclusive annual awards open to national network members recognising service excellence, delivery performance, volume level throughput and year on year individual improvement.
The Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire was the venue for the prestigious event which was hosted by Palletline’s Managing Director, Glyn Jones.
The judging criteria for the awards are extremely tough Jones comments: “All the winners, including Pennine Parcels, continue to set the exacting standards customers expect from our pallet distribution network. As the leader in the field, we continue to set benchmarks for others to follow. The awards recognise overall excellence in service, which is at the very heart of our business ethos.”
Neil Rushworth, operations director for the Halifax based company, believes winning the Depot of the Year Award is just reward for the hard work and dedication of his entire team. He says: “Our staff are totally focused on not only providing customers with a first-class delivery service, but ensuring that Pennine Parcels offers the same level of service for Palletline member companies too.” He goes on to comment that it is the ability “to provide outstanding personal service levels, whilst inputting and delivering substantial volumes of traffic”, that may have been the deciding factors in winning the award.
