Kewill Systems, the supply chain software group, has lifted its pre-tax profit from £1.01m to £1.34m in the six months to september 30th. Total sales increased from £13.2m to £13.7m, helped by previous acquisitions. The company has recently made a European acquisition. Paul Nichols, chief executive said that the £7.5m cash acquisition of Interchain in the Netherlands, would move the sales to a 50:50 split between the US and Europe, and would help the company build a global presence.
The company ended the half with £18.9m of cash and interest received contributed £420,000 to the bottom line. Operating profit rose from £657,000 to £919,000.
