TDG has renewed contracts with two aluminium suppliers; Kawneer UK, which supplies architectural aluminium systems and Alcoa Extruded Products (UK), which makes aluminium extrusions. Both companies are owned by Alcoa and each contract is for three years and together will generate about £4m of revenue for TDG.
The Alcoa Extruded Products operation, which is run from the customer’s facility in Banbury, involves UK nationwide delivery of 44,000 tonnes of aluminium per annum, using a fleet of 17 dedicated vehicles and 26 staff. The TDG team handles the customers transport planning within the UK and Europe and collection of scrap aluminium from end customers for return to the Alcoa plant. The on site TDG team also control delivery in the UK for two Alcoa plants in Holland and Spain.
