Co-operative Retail Logistics (CRL), part of the Co-operative Group (CWS), has fitted 700 of its distribution vehicles with Secureseal’s tamper-proof trailer seals. Designed to protect goods in transit by recording unauthorised door openings, the rugged stainless steel devices are designed to last the lifetime of a vehicle.
Secureseal is a permanent re-useable seal with a unique random security number generator that eliminates the ongoing cost and administration of disposable seals. It can be fitted to roller shutter and standard back doors of curtainsiders, box vans, rigids and other specialist trailers. CRL required seals with the highest durability and reliability and Secureseal’s life-long mechanical unit had established its credentials from earlier CRL fits, providing trouble-free operation year on year.
CRL runs a mixed fleet of 900 vehicles and 700 trailers vehicles carrying frozen, chilled and ambient loads. Secureseal protects goods during transport from point to point, giving a record of all door openings.
