Martin Butterly has been supplied with a BestHall Tension Membrane building by Collinson for its Drogheda Port site to increase on-quay storage, improve efficiency and reduce logistical problems.
The company imports 350,000 tonnes of steel and timber per year, mainly from Scandinavia, Russia and Latvia.
Storage remote from the quay was causing logistics issues, so a Collinson Besthall building was chosen for two main reasons – the favourable price and the structure’s relocatable design. The new building is 100m by 22m by 7m wall height, giving 2,200sq m of covered storage.
