Irish and UK forwarding and logistics independent TwoWay Vanguard has appointed Jim Armour as its new managing director. With some 35 years in forwarding and logistics behind him, Armour was most recently managing director of World Cargo which he transformed from air-only to multimodal operations. He was previously managing director of specialist forwarder Benair, where he set up logistics & ocean freight divisions.
Ewald Kaiser has been appointed to the management board of Kuehne + Nagel International AG responsible for the business unit Rail & Road Logistics. His appointment underlines the strategic importance of these activities for the globally operating logistics company. Since 2001, Kaiser has been managing director of Kuehne + Nagel (AG & Co) KG in Germany.
Franck Herckson is the new UK Seafreight director at Kuehne + Nagel UK. He succeeds Tom Littlejohns. During 21 years with Kuenhe + Nagel, Herckson has worked in New York, Bremen, Toronto and most recently Hong Kong, where he was vice president of Global LCL Development. Herckson says: “I am very excited about my new role. Under Tom’s leadership Keuhne + Nagel UK has grown to be the number one in seafreight.”
Andrew Mills is joining storage and materials handling equipment manufacturer Linpac Storage Systems, of Milton Keynesm as an account manager. Mills comments: “One of my first challenges will be to bring to customers’ attention the size and scale of the operation we have in Milton Keynes.” He continues: “Our manufacturing facility is very impressive and operates right alongside the office where the solutions are being designed.”
Schoeller Arca Systems has appointed Peter Doyle as business development manager (Pallets). He will be responsible for all pallet business in the UK and Ireland. Doyle has worked for SA Systems as a sales manager for two years. In his new role, Doyle will deal direct with customers/prospects and SA Systems’ distributor network.
