Gladman Developments has launched the UK’s largest speculative industrial development at Sherburn-in-Elmet, near Leeds.
Cosmic Park is an £85m, 1.6 million sq ft industrial and distribution warehouse development, which has been built on the site of a former airfield four miles from Junction 42 of the A1(M).
The development consists of four large distribution warehouses of 666,000 sq ft, being the biggest and others being; 320,000 sq ft and 185,000 sq ft (which can be combined to make one unit) and 147,000 sq ft, which are called respectively Jupiter, Saturn1, Saturn 2 and Ganymede.
Following the theme of planets and satellites, Gladman is also speculatively building a further five smaller units ranging between 62,300 sq ft to 5,700 sq ft known as Neptune, Mars, Venus, Mercury and Pluto.
David Gladman, director of Gladman Developments said: “The launch was a great success. There is strong interest in a number of the buildings and now that more than 100 specialist property agents have seen the facilities for themselves, we expect even greater interest.”
All nine units are now available for sale or lease.
