NYK Logistics has won a major logistics contract with computer and peripherals retailer, PC World, part of DSG International.
NYK Logistics won the contract to provide storage, distribution, reverse logistics and collection services for a network of 152 stores.
It is primarily a dedicated delivery service supported by NYK Logistics’ shared user network to meet peak demand. It involves a combination of night trunks and daytime deliveries to stores between the hours of 7am and 9pm.
Next day deliveries are also made to DSG International local distribution centres and regional distribution centres.
Previously PC World relied on a combination of in-house and third party operations.
