Alliance and Leicester Commercial Finance (ALCF) and Seven Asset Management are undertaking a new joint venture within the field of contract vehicle hire and fleet management services.
The combined service offering is expected to bring a new dimension to the ALCF and Seven portfolio of services available to existing as well as new customers.
Commenting for Seven, chairman Roy Dunnett said: “We have been in discussion with ALCF for a while and felt the time and the market was right for the launch of a new service. We have established a comprehensive servicing, maintenance and repair infrastructure during the last eight years and in addition we have invested in new systems and strengthened our senior management team to prepare the business for the next phase of our growth plan. Essentially the financial resources that ALCF are able to provide and the knowledge and expertise that we have developed in this field will be brought together to offer a new proposition in the market place”.
Seven’s fleet management operations team has been further strengthened with its operational centre, which is now being manned 24 hours a day. Seven’s development of its services in other areas will compliment the joint venture offering.
Tim Forman, managing director for Seven Asset Management, added: “This is a very exciting development for the two companies and we are working closely with the ALCF Commercial Vehicle team to prepare a joint Marketing and Sales campaign for the product launch. We are already dealing with a number of significant enquiries for the service and we believe the combined offering has major potential in the market place”.
