3663 First for Foodservice, one of the UK’s leading foodservice wholesale distributors, has opened a brand new multi-temperature depot at Kingswood Lakeside Business Park, Cannock. The new state-of-the-art depot promises to be one of 3663’s most advanced facilities. The company currently runs 42 UK sites and aims to push the boundaries of innovation within the industry to the next level.
Steve Clayton, 3663 depot general manager said: “We are delighted with our new distribution centre which firmly cements 3663’s position as market leaders in the UK.” He goes on to say that: “The first class facilities at Cannock will be a tremendous benefit to the industry as a whole. The 150-acre site is able to stock more lines with the ability to accommodate a 40% growth on the existing business and provide improved surroundings, more space and a better environment for staff.”
The 3663 team, led by project manager Ian Pritchard, worked effectively with site developers, Morston Assets, and contractors, Ashford Construction., to form a successful partnership. Together, the teams ensured there was a professional transition of business from the Brownhills site to the relocated distribution centre at Cannock. The site will serve a wide delivery radius covering Whitchurch, mid-Wales, Malvern and Tamworth.
