ProLogis, a leading global provider of distribution facilities and services, has announced that it will develop a major new distribution facility in China for Adidas.
One of the world’s premier makers of sporting clothing, Adidas is to lease more than 646,000 sq ft at ProLogis Park, Suzhou. The building will function as a new national distribution center for Adidas, primarily serving markets in mainland China. An existing ProLogis customer at the park, Adidas will relocate from a smaller 172,000-square-foot (16,000 square meters) facility when the new building is completed in the second half of 2006.
Sandrine Zerbib, president of the Greater China Area at Adidas said: “We look forward to working with ProLogis again on the development of this new, state-of-the-art facility, which will deliver substantial efficiencies for Adidas as we enhance our Chinese supply-chain operations.”
